"Dak Pioneers"

1941 - near Tobruk. German "Pioneers" of the 5th Light Division Afrika Korps make their way up a hollow towards their objective on the other side of the hill. Under heavy gun fire, two soldiers in the background carefully probe for land mines with their bayonets, as a three man machine gun squad sets up to fire on Australian positions  on their flank. One of the three Germans is preparing
to throw a smoke grenade to help conceal themselves.
