"No. 91 Squadron"

In the evening of 25 May, 1943, Spitfire Mk. XIV's from No. 91 "Nigeria" squadron were scrambled to intercept enemy aircraft over the Channel which were attempting a night attack. The squadron leader, R.H. Harries, was credited with downing two Focke-Wulf 190's from SKG. 10 which were attempting to flee across the Channel to France. The German fighters were partially over painted
in black for night operations.
