I am accepting painting commissions for those who wish to own an original painting. Please realize that I am not limited to painting only aviation themes and will consider a variety of painting subjects.  If you have a particular painting wish, I would suggest you simply make the request. I will give you an honest answer — I promise I won't attempt to paint a subject I don't feel I can paint with confidence.  I will discuss with you various aspects of the proposed painting, the estimated time to complete the work, and the fee for the work. A painting inquiry does not in any way obligate you to follow through. It's just a consultation, so take some time to think about it and come back if you want more information or wish to proceed. If we enter an agreement on a painting, I will ask for a non-refundable deposit of one third the cost of the painting. This will secure you a "place in line" for your painting. Clients who do not secure the painting with a cash deposit may come back later to find that someone else has taken their place in line.  For various reasons, I cannot seriously consider a painting request until the deposit is made and I know the client is committed to the commission. This is not pressure sales tactics, but simply a way to avoid any misunderstandings and it allows others to have a fair chance at getting their painting requests in queue.  Once the deposit check has been received, I will begin concept sketches and will work closely with you until we have arrived at a painting concept and composition that meets with your approval. It's not unusual for me to have work lined up for a year or more in advance, so be prepared for the possibility of a wait. The schedule may change, depending on how my work load shifts and flows.  Some clients have made installment payments towards the art during the wait period. I'm fairly flexible and I'll work with you to make arrangements that will best suit you throughout the entire process.
